Service Agreement
Service Details and Agreement
These terms are intended to keep the service simple, transparent, and predictable for both parties.
The following section outlines the scope of the service and expectations so that both parties are clear on what is included.
1. Scope of Service
This plan includes:
- Design of a basic static website (single-page or small site)
- Secure hosting and deployment
- Basic performance optimization
- Domain suggestion and setup assistance
- Ongoing hosting and uptime monitoring after launch
- Reasonable updates to text and images upon request
This service is intended for simple informational business websites that require minimal structural changes over time.
2. Project Workflow
Development Phase
- A development version of the site may be created before payment.
- This allows you to review layout, content, and overall direction.
Launch Phase
- Payment is required before the site is launched publicly or hosting begins.
Priority Queue
Projects are normally handled in order of scheduling and availability.
Customers who initiate payment immediately:
- Are placed in the priority queue
- May have their project scheduled sooner when capacity allows
This helps ensure that active projects move forward efficiently while still allowing prospective customers to evaluate a draft before committing.
3. Timeline
- Typical time to first draft: 1–2 weeks
- Timing may vary depending on queue volume and responsiveness to content requests.
Delays in providing content or feedback may extend timelines.
4. Content and Branding
You may provide:
- Logo
- Text content
- Images
If you do not have these prepared:
- We can assist with basic logo and text creation to help launch the site.
- The goal is to create a clean and professional starting point, not a full branding or marketing engagement.
5. Domain Setup
We will:
- Suggest a suitable domain name if needed
- Assist with registration and configuration
- Configure hosting and DNS
Domain registration fees (if applicable) are paid separately by the customer.
6. What Is Not Included
To keep this service simple and affordable, the following are not included:
- Email hosting or mailbox setup (can be arranged separately if needed)
- Interactive forms (contact forms, booking forms, etc.)
- E-commerce functionality
- Custom web applications or advanced integrations
- Large multi-page websites
- SEO campaigns or marketing services
If additional features are required, they may be quoted separately.
7. Revisions and Updates
Reasonable ongoing updates are included as part of hosting, including:
- Text edits
- Image replacements
- Minor layout adjustments
Requests requiring significant redesign, restructuring, or new functionality may be quoted separately.
8. Appropriate Use of Service
This service is best suited for:
- Small businesses
- Trades and local services
- Professionals needing a straightforward website
- Businesses that require only occasional updates
It is not intended for high-frequency content changes or complex product-driven websites.
9. Ongoing Hosting
Hosting includes:
- Secure deployment
- Monitoring and uptime management
- Routine maintenance of the hosting environment
Hosting does not include:
- Continuous redesign work
- Major feature development
10. Billing and Subscription
Hosting is billed on a recurring basis as agreed at the time of purchase (typically monthly).
Invoices are sent electronically and are payable by the due date indicated.
Failure to pay may result in suspension of hosting services after reasonable notice.
Customers may cancel hosting at any time. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund past billing periods.
11. Customer Responsibilities
To keep projects moving efficiently, customers should:
- Provide requested content in a timely manner
- Review drafts promptly
- Communicate requested changes clearly
Delays in providing content may extend project timelines.
12. Communication and Support
Communication is handled via email or other agreed channels.
We aim to respond to requests in a reasonable timeframe during normal working hours.
13. Changes to Scope
If a project grows beyond the scope of a basic static website, additional work may be quoted separately before proceeding.
14. Suspension or Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend hosting or project work if invoices remain unpaid or if communication breaks down to the point that work cannot reasonably continue.
In the event of termination, the customer may request a copy of their website files.
15. Ownership and Content Responsibility
All logos, text, and images provided by the customer remain the property and responsibility of the customer.
The customer confirms they have the right to use any content supplied.
Upon full payment, the customer owns the website content and design delivered for their project. Hosting infrastructure and internal tooling remain the property of the service provider.
16. Limitation of Liability
While reasonable steps are taken to maintain uptime and security, no hosting service can guarantee uninterrupted availability.
We are not liable for losses resulting from outages, third-party service failures, domain issues, or events outside reasonable control.
17. Agreement to Terms
By initiating payment or confirming agreement during checkout, the customer confirms they have read and agree to these terms.
